We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate in Indianapolis, Indiana, to support our expanding operations. This role is vital for maintaining the flow of goods through our state-of-the-art facility. You will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, order processing, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated team in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently receive, sort, and store incoming merchandise.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders and prepare them for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Conduct inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Keep the distribution center clean, orderly, and safe.
- Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to team goals for productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
