A career as a Border Patrol Agent offers the opportunity to work with an elite team of highly trained professionals, dedicated to protecting America's borders and enhancing national economic prosperity.

This is a full-time, entry-level position that requires applicants to possess one year of general work experience or have completed a bachelor's degree. Experience should demonstrate sound decision-making skills, ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, and capacity for learning regulations through classroom training and on-the-job instruction.

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws by inspecting documents and possessions;


• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near borders using surveillance methods including infrared scopes during night operations;


• Interpreting tracks marks and other physical evidence related to illegal entry of people or contraband;
