Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Description
The role of a Customs and Border Protection Officer is to safeguard the nation's borders, enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws, facilitate legitimate trade and travel, conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- To be eligible for this position you must have a minimum of one year experience in law enforcement or equivalent experience in enforcing regulations related to importing/exporting merchandise from/to the United States.
- A Master's degree or two years graduate-level education may also qualify candidates if they do not meet the above experience requirement.
- Candidates with specialized knowledge in areas like intelligence techniques or behavioral analysis may also be considered eligible for selection as CBPOs.
