Border Protection Specialist

The Border Patrol Agent is a law enforcement position that involves protecting the nation's borders and enforcing immigration laws. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders, interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.

Border Patrol Agents are also responsible for patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
