About

The Site Laborer is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role supports daily site operations by performing general labor, equipment operation, maintenance, and safety-related duties. The position requires working primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions and adhering to all company and regulatory safety standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment

  • Fuel vehicles and equipment as required

  • Operate heavy equipment as needed

  • Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment

  • Perform yard maintenance, including mowing and litter removal

  • Operate general site vehicles and equipment such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment

  • Direct site traffic as necessary to ensure safety

  • Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial duties

  • Work in compliance with Company policies and federal, state/provincial, and local safety regulations

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

  • Must meet Company standards for safety-sensitive functions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and communicate effectively

  • Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision

  • Ability to safely operate required equipment

  • Strong common-sense reasoning and problem-solving skills

Physical & Mental Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift in an outdoor environment up to 90% of the time

  • Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, climb, balance, talk, and hear

  • Visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds regularly

  • Ability to push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance

Working Conditions
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise, humidity, rain, storms, extreme heat and cold (seasonal), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles

  • Work performed outdoors up to 100% of the time

  • Routinely works away from branch location throughout the day

  • Occasional work in high or precarious places

  • Constant exposure to motor vehicle traffic

  • Work environment is typically loud
