Job Description The Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Operations Team is dedicated to the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of Oracle's physical security technologies. We are looking for a skilled Technical Project Manager (TPM) in Application Design who will oversee the lifecycle management of physical access control and Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM) applications in a complex global environment. Reporting to the Director of Global Physical Security Programs, you will collaborate with security operations, engineering teams, integration partners, and business stakeholders to deliver security solutions that are innovative, scalable, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations. This critical role is essential for driving application security improvements, minimizing downtime, and ensuring our systems are resilient and audit-ready. Responsibilities Product & Program Ownership Take full ownership of the lifecycle management for physical access control and PIAM solutions, from requirements gathering and design to development, implementation, upgrades, and retirement of outdated systems. Design and implement robust architectures that ensure high availability of critical security systems, thereby maximizing uptime and minimizing operational risks. Assess and suggest solutions while carefully balancing cost considerations, return on investment, scalability, and compliance needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation and technical standards essential for system audits and compliance processes (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI). Drive continuous improvement and future planning for application security in collaboration with key stakeholders and end-users. Create and sustain product roadmaps for access control and identity management systems, prioritizing enhancements that boost scalability, meet user needs, enhance security, and ensure compliance with regulations. Stakeholder Training & Enablement Develop and deliver operational training and best-practice documentation for internal teams and external integrators. Equip operational teams with the necessary tools and knowledge for prompt support response, troubleshooting, and escalation of issues. Governance & Compliance Lead the creation, review, and dissemination of system documentation to assist in internal and external audits of physical access and PIAM applications. Ensure all application design and implementation align with corporate security, privacy, IT, and legal standards. Program & Project Management Manage the execution of enterprise security application projects and upgrades, coordinating efforts across global teams. Act as an escalation point for technical incidents and conduct post-incident reviews, providing guidance to minimize chances of recurrence. Oversee vendor interactions, pilot new solutions, and validate their suitability for Oracle's environment through proofs of concept and technical assessments. Qualifications & Key Competencies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of project or program management experience in physical security, security applications, or IT infrastructure, with direct experience in managing physical access control or PIAM solutions at scale. Expert knowledge of physical access control and PIAM industry standards, as well as application deployment, integration, and audit requirements. Experience designing high-availability infrastructure and security systems. Strong skills in documentation, technical writing, and process improvements. Proven track record in cost evaluation and ROI analysis for technology investments. Advanced understanding of privacy regulations and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001/NIST, etc.). Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Collaborative and proactive mindset with the ability to effectively lead multi-functional and cross-regional teams. Desirable Qualifications Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, CPP, PSP, PIAM or PACS-specific certifications). Experience in implementing or supporting physical security in large-scale cloud or hyperscale data center environments. Familiarity with automation, data analytics/reporting, and scripting for system integration or administration. Knowledge of assurance, data retention, and compliance standards such as Common Criteria & FIPS.
