Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse stock based on customer order specifications.
- Pack merchandise using appropriate materials to ensure safe delivery.
- Verify picked items against order forms for accuracy in product and quantity.
- Utilize handheld scanners and other warehouse technology to manage inventory.
- Operate basic material handling equipment, like pallet jacks, as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, and adhere to safe lifting guidelines.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking/packing process to supervision.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required to support the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic reading and numerical comprehension skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse technology is beneficial.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing PPE.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere.
