Help Turn Pathways Into Permanent Homes

Do you believe housing is the foundation for stability, dignity, and opportunity? Are you passionate about walking alongside people as they move from uncertainty to self-sufficiency? If so, The Worker wants you on our team

We're looking for a Housing Expertย -- a compassionate, organized, and people-centered professional who thrives at the intersection of human connection, data, and real-world impact. In this role, you'll support individuals on a 90-day journey toward housing stability while collaborating with an innovative, mission-driven team dedicated to ending homelessness.

What You'll Do

As a Housing Expert, you'll be a trusted guide and advocate, helping clients navigate every step toward stable housing and independence:

  • Coach and support clients through prescreening, intake, background checks, and move-ins

  • Provide weekly one-on-one support (in-person and virtual) focused on housing readiness, budgeting, employment resources, and life skills

  • Collaborate with community partners and internal teams to deliver seamless, wraparound care

  • Track progress, maintain accurate client records (95%+ accuracy), and contribute to data-informed reporting

  • Celebrate success by sharing monthly client stories that highlight meaningful progress

  • Support long-term stability with follow-ups after clients exit the program

What You Bring
  • A strengths-based, trauma-informed approach and a heart for empowering people

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Experience working with vulnerable communities and providing direct services

  • Comfort using tools like Salesforce, HMIS, and Tableau (or eagerness to learn)

  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel between sites

  • Flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends

  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred-but not required)

Preferred Background
  • BS in Social Work or a related field

  • 4+ years of relevant experience (professional or volunteer)

  • Ability to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to hire

Why Join The Worker?

Because here, your work changes lives. You'll be part of a collaborative, innovative team that values compassion, data-driven impact, and bold solutions to homelessness. Every day, you'll help turn hope into housing -- and that's pretty powerful.

Ready to make a difference? Apply today and help build pathways home.
