Position Summary:
The Service Technician will perform a variety of repair, maintenance, and warranty service tasks on projects and equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot construction-related issues independently and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service requests, repairs, and warranty work on completed construction projects
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general construction (based on skill set)
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of company equipment and job sites
- Complete work orders accurately with supporting documentation and photos
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members
- Ensure all work meets company standards and safety regulations
- Maintain tools, work vehicle, and materials in clean, organized condition
- Respond to urgent service calls as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction, maintenance, or a related trade
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction plans (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as required
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Maintain material and supply inventory
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Experience with residential or commercial construction
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or equipment operation
- Familiarity with warranty service processes
- Preventive Maintenance
- Problem Solving Skills
Compensation: $18 - $35 depending on experience.
