We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or further distribution.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies safely.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervision.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals within the logistics framework.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
