Job Description:
This position works under the direct supervision of Journeyman or Lead Installers while learning proper HVAC installation techniques, safety standards, and customer-service best practices. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in residential environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with residential add-on and replacement HVAC installations
- Support removal and replacement of existing HVAC equipment and components
- Assist with installing furnaces, air handlers, condensers, ductwork, refrigerant lines, and condensate drains
- Load, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
- Follow work orders, installation standards, and supervisor direction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in occupied homes
- Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Learn to identify basic system issues and assist with troubleshooting
- Accurately complete assigned job documentation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners when directed
Qualifications:
- Entry-level or prior HVAC installation experience preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely (training provided)
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders
- Comfort working in occupied residential environments
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
