We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Distribution Center Associates in Austin, Texas. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, involving a variety of tasks from receiving and stocking to picking and shipping. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently using various tools and equipment.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, safely and according to training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all established safety procedures.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrate proper Lifting techniques and follow guidelines for safe material handling.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals within our logistics framework.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or similar environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Proficiency with scanning technology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
- Understanding of general logistics operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to PPE requirements and safe Lifting practices.
