SUMMARY
Pima Medical Institute is seeking an enthusiastic Career Prep Instructor to guide students in developing the essential professional and soft skills required for success in their chosen vocational careers. This role focuses on delivering practical instruction in areas like resume building, interviewing, workplace ethics, and job search strategies.
Specific Part-Time Schedule:
Schedule: Consistent two-day schedule, 10 hours per week:
- Thursday and Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Career Prep Instructor delivers key career readiness modules and provides one-on-one student advising.
- Develop and deliver engaging instruction focused on resume writing, interviewing techniques, job search strategies, and professional communication.
- Plan instruction to achieve specific career readiness objectives based on the established curriculum.
- Evaluate and grade student assignments (e.g., mock interviews, resumes) promptly.
- Provide academic and career advising to students, holding regularly scheduled office hours.
- Monitor student attendance and submit required documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with Student Services and Placement departments to ensure alignment with industry needs.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and campus events.
- Hiring Range:$ $29.66 per hour.

- Education & Experience (Required): Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA in the field/subject area taught (e.g., Business, HR, Communications).
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching or occupational experience, or a combination of the two, in the field of career development or professional skills. (Justification for this exception must be documented).
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead effective presentations, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in common office software (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace).
- Teaching Experience (Preferred): Prior teaching, training, or workshop facilitation experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
