Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Manager to lead our dynamic team in delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, quick service and casual dining environment. As a pivotal member of our management team, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and excellence. Your leadership will drive operational efficiency, uphold customer satisfaction, and support staff development to create an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
  • Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
  • Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, food handling, and presentation to meet quality benchmarks
  • Oversee inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff members on food safety, customer service techniques, and operational procedures
  • Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service management within quick service or casual dining restaurants with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff training, interviewing, and team management effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control and food safety standards rigorously
  • Hospitality management background with experience in managing restaurant operations during shifts
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Prior experience in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus but not required; a background in catering or hotel food services is advantageous
