Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill has been serving the Longview community since 1968. We are a high-volume, fast-paced sports bar known forcomfort food, busy game nights, and a strong core kitchen team that stays for the long haul.
We are hiring an experienced Line Cook to join our night and late-night crew.
What You'll Do
- Execute menu items consistently during high-volume service
- Work a single-shift line in a fast-moving kitchen
- Operate fryer, flat top, and grill stations with confidence
- Handle prep, stocking, and station organization
- Maintain speed, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Communicate clearly with teammates and front of house during rushes
- Support a team-first kitchen culture—no egos, no shortcuts
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years line cook experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong skills on fryer and flat top/grill
- Solid prep fundamentals
- Ability to stay composed and productive during peak service
- Reliable attendance and punctuality (non-negotiable)
- Clean, organized, and safety-focused work habits
- Comfortable working nights, late nights, weekends, and events
- Drug-free workplace mindset
We are open to training the right applicant—but this is not an entry-level kitchen role.
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time: 35–40 hours per week
- Shifts: Nights, late nights, weekends required
- Starting pay: $17.50/hour plus guaranteed tip pool
- Overtime is avoided and schedules are managed responsibly
