Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices are followed
• Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes in accordance with event specifications
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery
• Use knife skills expertly for chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients

Requirements

• Proven experience in a culinary setting, preferably within fine dining or upscale restaurants
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety standards
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in cooking methods across various cuisines
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior restaurant experience demonstrating a solid understanding of food service operations

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
