About

At BrainClub, we create fun, meaningful learning experiences that help kids build real-world skills using VR, AI, and neuroscience-based tools. We partner with schools across Chicago and internationally with one clear goal: making innovative education accessible to all students.

We're looking for a full-time Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow our school partnerships across the Chicago metropolitan area. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and seeing the direct impact of their work. You'll own the full sales process and play a key role in bringing BrainClub programs to more kids.

Role: Sales Development Representative (SDR) – ChicagoWhat You'll Do

  • Own the entire sales cycle, from first contact to signed contracts with schools.
  • Prospect creatively using a mix of cold outreach, warm leads, in-person visits, events, and follow-ups.
  • Meet face-to-face with school administrators, principals, afterschool coordinators, and other decision-makers across the Chicago metropolitan area.
  • Present BrainClub's programs clearly and enthusiastically, connecting our mission to each school's needs.
  • Stay organized and consistent with follow-ups throughout a 4–6 week sales cycle.
  • Manage your own schedule and territory.
  • Collaborate closely with the BrainClub team to refine messaging and help ensure our programs remain accessible to all students.
  • Adapt your approach seasonally, balancing in-person sales during the school year with more email-based outreach over the summer months.

What Success Looks Like

  • Signed contracts with Chicago-area schools.
  • A steady, well-managed pipeline that turns conversations into closed deals.
  • Strong follow-through, ownership, and accountability.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of sales experience, including comfort with face-to-face conversations.
  • Willingness to step into discomfort and take initiative in a startup environment.
  • Strong ability to manage your own time, priorities, and follow-ups.
  • Comfortable handling rejection and staying motivated.
  • Interest in education, EdTech, robotics, or other mission-driven work.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a car for travel within the Chicago metropolitan area.
  • Experience using basic sales or productivity tools (CRM systems or Google Workspace is sufficient — we'll train you on the rest).

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission.
  • A fun, engaging product that genuinely resonates with schools and students.
  • Real ownership and autonomy in a growing EdTech startup.
  • The opportunity to help shape how BrainClub reaches more kids across Chicago.
  • Room to grow alongside the company as we expand.
