Position Summary

Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing a customer base within a specified territory while maintaining and developing existing accounts by increasing sales to current customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong positive business and customer relationships
  • Support the customer in the decision-making process
  • Provide quotes for customers and deliver them promptly
  • Provide exceptional customer service and keep customers informed by communicating promptly, accurately and honestly
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support all steps in the process
  • Follow up with any issues and make sure they are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education
  • 2-3 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Outgoing personality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Valid Driver's License
