Location: Stonewall Memorial Hospital, Aspermont Texas
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary therapy team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver quality care to patients in both long-term care and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving patients' mobility, functional independence, and quality of life through rehabilitative treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients in long-term care and outpatient services.
- Deliver physical therapy interventions in accordance with the care plan, PT directives, and clinical best practices.
- Monitor patient responses and report progress, concerns, and changes to the supervising PT.
- Accurately document treatments and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on treatment goals, safe mobility techniques, and therapeutic exercises.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care and successful outpatient outcomes.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, hours flexible based on case load.
- Settings: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long-Term Care and Outpatient Clinic
- Compensation: Competitive based on experience + benefits
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Previous experience in long-term care and/or outpatient therapy preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
