Ice Me Out, a fast-growing Philadelphia-style water ice and kitchen concept, is seeking a highly skilled Store Manager / Lead Chef to join our team. This is a full-time leadership position for someone who can run the kitchen, supervise daily operations, and maintain our high-quality standards.We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager / Lead Chef to oversee daily store operations while leading our culinary brand with passion and precision. This full-time role combines restaurant management expertise with culinary leadership, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store functioning, and high-quality food preparation. As a pivotal member of our team, you will drive sales, manage inventory, develop staff, and create an inviting environment that keeps customers coming back. Your leadership will inspire a motivated team dedicated to excellence in retail and culinary experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all menu items (water ice, cheesesteaks, fries, breakfast, etc.) to Ice Me Out standards
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead all aspects of store management, including sales management, merchandising, inventory control, and budgeting to meet business goals.
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions, cash handling accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
- Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations as Lead Chef, maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Handle purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Utilize POS systems for sales processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy; oversee cashiering duties during shifts.
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and increase foot traffic while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and motivate the team toward continuous improvement.
- Maintain organized records of payroll, bookkeeping, sales reports, and other administrative tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in restaurant and small business environments with supervisory or assistant manager roles preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and retail math.
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales processes.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen operations as Lead Chef is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience required
- Leadership or management experience strongly preferred
- Strong cooking skills and ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation
- Must be dependable and able to work Monday–Sunday (scheduled for either opening or closing shifts, or both as needed)
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
