Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations
• Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting innovative dish ideas
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
• Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes in line with event requirements
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality
• Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining exposure
• Strong culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety practices
• Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
• Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is desirable but not mandatory
