Job Overview
We are seeking a welcoming Front Office Receptionist to join our family practice team. This vital role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience through exceptional patient service and efficient administrative support. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures
- Verify insurance coverage, performing insurance eligibility checks at multiple insurance portals
- Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing Elation, learning to prioritize care needs and match with provider availability
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, reviewing documentation for completeness, and updating patient information
- Assist with billing tasks including medical collection efforts
- Manage office supplies, organize files, and support clinic management tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions and documentation processes
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is valued but not required
- Proven ability to handle multiple requests with confidence and patience.
- Excellent transcription skills and a strong commitment to ensuring data entry accuracy
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborating closely with a small team
