We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will be responsible for coordinating staff, managing inventory, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and optimizing workflow to meet company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and oversee stock rotation.
- Coordinate the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs in logistics.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, when necessary and appropriate.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and operational data.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Address any operational issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Be prepared for occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure workplace safety and enforce PPE usage.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks when needed.
- Flexibility to work varied hours if required by operational needs.
