Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Technician to join our IT support team. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in computer networking, operating systems, and hardware troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining network infrastructure, supporting end-users, and resolving technical issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment with potential for career growth within the IT department.

Duties

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for desktop and network issues using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining VPN connections, firewalls, LANs, and other network components
  • Support end-users with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software
  • Help resolve hardware issues involving computers, peripherals, and network devices
  • Document incidents and resolutions accurately within help desk systems
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to implement system updates and security patches
  • Maintain knowledge of current technology trends and best practices in IT support

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, firewalls, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is a plus
  • Experience with software troubleshooting and desktop support is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively assist end-users and document issues clearly
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira for issue tracking is advantageous
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in IT support or networking are desirable but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000.00 per year
