Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for the food industry. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the overall success of the restaurant.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including interviewing and training new team members
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Monitor restaurant operations to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols
- Lead team management efforts, including scheduling, supervising shifts, and motivating staff
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing vendor relationships
- Implement hospitality best practices to enhance guest experience
- Handle administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Proficiency with POS systems like Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Excellent team management, supervising experience, and leadership skills
- Ability to train staff in food handling, serving, and hospitality protocols
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Experience with interviewing potential employees and building effective teams
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food industry standards, and restaurant experience
- Hospitality background including hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
