About

AmeriCare is seeking a highly organized, dependable Assistant Administrator to work closely with our Administrative Team and support the daily operations of a growing home health organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn. You will assist with paperwork compliance, answering phones, HR-related questions, documentation collection, staffing support, and scheduling, along with a variety of administrative tasks that contribute directly to the growth of the company.

This position offers clear room for advancement into an Administrator role for a high-performing individual who demonstrates reliability, initiative, and strong operational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with AmeriCare's Admin to support day-to-day office operations
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and route questions appropriately
  • Assist with paperwork compliance, including organizing, filing, and tracking required documentation
  • Collect, review, and file employee and client documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Respond to basic HR-related questions and assist with administrative follow-ups
  • Assist with interviewing potential nurses and staffing candidates
  • Support staffing coordination and scheduling under the direction of the Admin team
  • Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and proofreading of documents
  • Assist with scheduling, calendars, and internal coordination
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
  • Take on additional administrative responsibilities and learn new processes as needed to support company growth

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in administrative support, office management, medical office, staffing, or home health environments preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with nurses, caregivers, and applicants
  • Willingness to learn new systems and take initiative
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or other languages) is a plus
  • Familiarity with compliance paperwork, HR documentation, scheduling, or QuickBooks is a plus
