About the Role
The Credentialing Coordinator manages day-to-day credentialing activities for CODA's billable providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other licensed professionals. This role ensures accurate, timely credentialing and re-credentialing with contracted payers and across all billable locations—supporting continuity of care and organizational financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain initial and re-credentialing applications for providers
- Conduct follow-up with payers, providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely approvals
- Maintain accurate provider demographic and credentialing data in credentialing systems
- Request, track, and manage required provider documents to prevent lapses in credentialing
- Submit monthly provider rosters to contracted payers
- Monitor and address expiring credentials, applications, and payer requirements
- Run routine reports to identify outstanding items, issues, or risks
- Provide regular credentialing status updates to the Billing Manager and key stakeholders
- Participate in departmental projects, meetings, trainings, and process improvements
- Serve as backup support for other team members as needed

QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in credentialing or billing within a healthcare environment
Competencies & Skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple credentialing timelines with minimal oversight
- Collaborative approach to navigating approval processes and payer requirements
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs
- Positive, respectful attitude when working with providers, payers, and internal teams
