Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. This role involves assisting with patient care plans and helping individuals regain independence through targeted therapeutic interventions. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics in a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages.
  • Support patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve functional abilities.
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy interventions accurately.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to maintain progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist with the preparation of treatment reports and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy.
  • Experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) across diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with clinic settings.
  • Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward improving patient outcomes.
  • Knowledge of occupational health principles and safety standards in healthcare environments.
  • Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to adapt interventions based on patient progress and changing needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
