Job Description And Duties
Under general supervision of the Supervising Program Technician III, the Program Technician (PT) II in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Response Unit Section reviews FBI criminal history records and prepares initial fingerprint background check responses based on legal requirements which help determine the suitability of a person applying for a license, certification, employment, or a volunteer position. The PT II is responsible for obtaining final disposition information from out-of-state law enforcement agencies and courts using Law Enforcement Agency Web, National Crime Information Center, National Law Enforcement Telecommunication System, and court websites, as well as by written communication, telephone, and facsimile. This position works with sensitive/confidential information and materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

This position is located in Rancho Cordova, CA.

Please note that all new to state employees will be given the minimum salary of the classification. For current state employees and/or those with reinstatement rights, your salary will be determined in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
