Business Development Manager

Join BizLink elocab – Engineered Solutions as a Business Development Manager. We are a leading manufacturer of custom cables and cable systems, serving Fortune 500 clients across the Semiconductor, Medical, and Industrial markets.

Location: Canada – Marine & Defense market focus. Employment type: Full-time. Seniority level: Mid-Senior level.

Base pay range: CA$80,000.00 – CA$110,000.00 per year. (Pay will be based on skills and experience – discuss with recruiter.)

Core Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Build & maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, conducting regular onsite meetings with purchasing and engineering teams.
  • Project Management: Act as the primary liaison between customers and our engineering teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet requirements.
  • Relationship Expansion: Continuously identify and cultivate new contacts within customer organizations to enhance service delivery and uncover upsell opportunities.
  • Problem Solving: Address customer challenges proactively, collaborating with internal teams to devise innovative solutions.
  • New Business Development: Dedicate ~20% of your time to discovering new customers and initiating projects, expanding our market presence.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Participate in digital marketing initiatives, trade shows, LinkedIn engagement, and targeted campaigns to attract new clients.
Key Tasks
  • Schedule and lead onsite meetings with purchasing and engineering teams.
  • Facilitate technical sessions between our engineers and client engineers.
  • Maintain and update project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Serve as central communication point for project status.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers.
  • Expand service offerings within existing accounts.
  • Collect and act on customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Research potential new customers in Industrial, Medical, Marine, and Defense markets.
  • Initiate contact with prospects, assess their needs, and present our capabilities.
  • Align with marketing to synchronize campaigns and strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows.
  • Leverage LinkedIn to connect with key contacts and promote services.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Business degree with a technical background (extensive training will be provided).
  • 1–5 years proven sales experience in technologically sophisticated products, ideally in the cable or connector industry.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong teamwork orientation.
  • Willingness to travel, self‑motivated, and flexible.
  • Goal‑driven and success‑oriented work style.
  • Proficiency with IT tools (Gmail Suite, MS Office, Salesforce or other CRM).
