Project/Construction Accountant

About
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects
Prepare, review, and track AIA billing, pay applications, and lien releases
Process subcontractor invoices, verify compliance documents, and monitor contract terms
Reconcile job cost reports, budgets, and financial projections
Assist project managers with cost tracking, change orders, and budget updates
Maintain accurate project financial records and documentation
Support month-end closing and reporting processes
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
Requirements:
Construction Industry Experience Required
Previous experience working for a General Contractor is mandatory
3–5+ years of project accounting or construction accounting experience
Strong understanding of job costing, budgets, and construction billing formats (AIA)
Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC preferred)
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
