About
Our Sacramento, California facility is looking for a skilled Material Handler to manage the movement and storage of goods. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will play a crucial role in our logistics chain, contributing to the overall success of our distribution network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the logistics team with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including hard hats and safety glasses.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
