Technical Analyst – Workday
to provide systems expertise and operational support that drives optimization across technology, business processes, and workforce solutions. This role requires a
skilled problem solver
with a
deep understanding of Workday systems
, data analysis, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will work independently while collaborating across teams to enhance system functionality and deliver strategic business value.
Technical Analyst – Workday Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues.
Serve as a key contact for Workday-related inquiries, triaging and addressing user-reported issues. Analyze trends, identify root causes, and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve recurring system challenges. - System Monitoring and Optimization.
Proactively monitor systems to detect potential risks or inefficiencies, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements and mitigate risks. - System Enhancements and Upgrades.
Evaluate upcoming system changes and releases, assess cross-functional impacts, and implement new features that enhance efficiency and user experience. Coordinate with IT, vendors, and end users to meet project timelines. - Reporting and Analytics.
Design and build advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics within Workday to support business decisions. Develop innovative reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to end users. - Consultation and Partnership.
Act as a subject matter expert for Workday processes and integrations. Partner with various business units and centers of excellence to identify improvement opportunities and lead initiatives that streamline operations. - Governance and Compliance.
Ensure all system modifications and enhancements adhere to established governance protocols and documentation standards.
Technical Analyst – Workday Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3–5 years of hands-on Workday experience
, with proven success supporting and optimizing HR systems or related enterprise applications. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex system issues.
- Experience with system configuration, data integrations, relational databases, and basic coding or scripting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to consult effectively with technical and non-technical users.
- Intermediate proficiency in project coordination and process documentation.
- Ability to adapt to change, manage time effectively, and maintain reliability under pressure.
