Position Overview:
We're looking for a skilled Pastry Chef to lead our pastry program and create high-quality baked goods that align with The Guild's style: elevated, modern, and approachable. This role oversees recipe development, production, quality control, and day-to-day kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a consistent pastry menu (breads, pastries, desserts)
- Lead daily production and manage kitchen flow
- Maintain quality standards, portion consistency, and presentation
- Order ingredients, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout the workspace
- Train and guide pastry assistants and support staff
- Collaborate on seasonal items and special event offerings
Requirements:
- Professional pastry or baking experience
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, doughs, and production scheduling
- Ability to work early mornings and manage a small team
- Creativity paired with efficiency and consistency
- Excellent organization and communication skills
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
