Capel, Incorporated is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with strong customer service skills to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client support.
Primary Role: Logistics Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule outgoing shipments from our different warehouse locations for both domestic and international shipments.
- Work closely with freight carrier representatives and be responsible for negotiating the best contract rates. This includes keeping up to date on any freight rate changes.
- Work with our sales force and customer service to process customer orders and track and monitor product shipments using the most cost-effective method of transportation and working across multiple vendors and customer platforms to ensure prompt pick-ups and deliveries. This includes preparing and verifying shipping documents such as bill of lading and international documents.
- Review all incoming freight invoices for accuracy, communicate with freight vendors for any invoice discrepancies, investigate lost shipments or late deliveries, and process any freight damage and/or loss claims.

Secondary Role: Customer Service Support
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Enter and review customer orders, verifying pricing, shipping dates, and availability.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and billing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Promote additional services and products to existing customers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compile reports for management and assist with general office tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in logistics and customer service is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Dynamics, Excel, and Word.
- Strong math and language skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
