As we continue to grow, we're seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to expand our market presence and build long-term client relationships.

Position Overview

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing a portfolio of existing clients, and promoting our steel fabrication capabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of steel products, fabrication processes, and project-based sales cycles. The ideal candidate has both technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for solving customer challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new sales opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, procurement teams, and project managers.
  • Understand client needs and collaborate with internal engineers and estimators to deliver accurate quotes.
  • Present fabrication capabilities, project timelines, and technical specifications to prospective customers.
  • Track project bids, follow up consistently, and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet or exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and on-site client meetings.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on market trends and customer demands.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in steel fabrication, metal manufacturing, industrial sales, or construction materials.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes: cutting, welding, machining, forming, coatings, etc.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and project specifications (a plus).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within territory.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing industry contacts within construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
  • Experience in powder coating sales.

Pay: $40, $45,000.00 per year
