Job Summary:
Join our logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in St. Louis, Missouri. This crucial role involves managing the accurate and timely shipment of outgoing orders. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages are properly labeled and prepared for transit. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success. You will play a key part in our distribution process, ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable shipping. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE, is expected. This position may involve some lifting and moving of packages.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
  • Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
  • Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
  • Inspect outgoing packages for damage and proper sealing.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
  • Support overall logistics operations with efficient shipping processes.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and PPE usage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
