Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Our growing logistics company in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of goods. We value safety above all else and expect our operators to maintain a high level of vigilance. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move palletized loads, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for movement.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Demonstrate proficiency in heavy Lifting and maneuvering loads.
- Contribute to a culture of Safety and efficiency in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime when necessary.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to job Safety.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
