Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents against orders, and maintaining detailed shipping records. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for understanding and adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving any shipping discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation for various carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
  • Verify package contents against shipping orders and packing slips.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
  • Conduct daily inventory checks for shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandated use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in using computers and shipping software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety protocols.
