In this critical role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to all company policies and procedures. You will lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, optimizing workflow, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, including ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and overseeing safe lifting practices. Performance management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement will be key aspects of your role. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who can effectively manage a team and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced logistics setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating daily warehouse activities.
- Leading, training, and mentoring warehouse staff.
- Managing inventory levels and ensuring accuracy.
- Overseeing shipping and receiving operations.
- Implementing and enforcing safety procedures, including PPE usage.
- Ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed by the team.
- Monitoring operational efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Resolving operational issues and conflicts.
- Generating reports on warehouse performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software.
- Understanding of safety regulations and experience with PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
