This role is crucial for maintaining the precision and efficiency of our warehouse operations and broader logistics network. Your primary focus will be on the meticulous management of inventory, ensuring all stock is accounted for, organized, and accurately reflected in our systems. Responsibilities include performing in-depth cycle counts, investigating and resolving any inventory variances, managing stock placement, and contributing to process improvements. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory management systems. While this role is largely analytical, the ability to perform occasional lifting and comfortable movement within the warehouse environment is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage comprehensive cycle counting programs.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and refine inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize carrying costs.
- Oversee stock rotation strategies (e.g., FIFO, LIFO) as applicable.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends and improve inventory accuracy.
- Provide guidance and training to warehouse associates on inventory best practices.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Liaise with procurement, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Uphold all company safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Occasionally perform tasks involving lifting and moving materials.
