As we prepare for our opening, we are seeking culinary professionals who are passionate about Italian food, craftsmanship, and teamwork, and who are excited to be part of an opening kitchen team.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our opening BOH team. The ideal candidate is disciplined, detail-oriented, and takes pride in executing dishes with consistency and care. This role requires a strong work ethic, respect for ingredients, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen environment.
Experience with Italian cuisine is a plus but not required, proper training will be provided.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and execute menu items according to Bottega Salaria recipes and standards
Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
Set up and break down assigned station before and after service
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
Properly handle, label, and store food products
Assist with prep, inventory rotation, and basic kitchen organization
Support a respectful, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
2-3 years of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a professional kitchen
Passion for cooking and learning traditional techniques
Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes consistently
Strong sense of organization and cleanliness
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during service
Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
Must obtain Food Handler certification prior to start date
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Competitive hourly wage (based on experience)
Training in Roman Italian cuisine and kitchen standards
