About us We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to some exciting growth within our Central Government business, we are interested in speaking with an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a large, inflight project.
Role Location You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require you visit customers every couple of weeks.
About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building and evolving our AWS cloud infrastructure and ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security. Key Responsibilities will Include:
Designing, implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS
Deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters. Familiarity with related technologies such as Docker and Helm.
Developing and implementing automated tools and processes for building, deployment, monitoring, testing and maintenance of infrastructure and applications
Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for security, compliance, and disaster recovery
Optimise infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency
Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues
The Fit The ideal candidate will have a background working with AWS services, automation tools, and DevOps practices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and has a collaborative mindset. Additional skills include:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Background in Configuration Management and Automation
Proficiency with containers and container orchestration including Helm, Docker and Kubernetes
Observability experience of designing and building monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, and Grafana
Basic programming skills in at least one language
Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
