This graduate programme will expose you to front-line and core business functions, giving you real experience in water and wastewater infrastructure. The programme spans 27 months and offers three 9-month placements across design, delivery, and digital capability teams. Programme Overview
You’ll work on projects such as sewerage system design, waste treatment tanks, distribution pipe design, or clean water treatment plant design. You will learn project and people management, stakeholder influence, commercial acumen, and multidisciplinary teamwork. The goal is to develop competencies required to become a chartered civil engineer. What You Will Learn
Project and people management, including stakeholder influence. Business and commercial acumen: planning strategically with time, cost, and quality in mind. Design and delivery of infrastructure projects across multidisciplinary teams. Customer-focused delivery and community communication. What We Are Looking For
Preparation and contribution to civil design deliverables: specifications, hydraulic calculations, datasheets, 3D models, schedules. Writing contract documentation. Conducting site surveys, investigations, and asset condition assessments. Scoping solutions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Liaising with contractors and suppliers for equipment selection, site investigation, and design acceptance. Understanding British standards, regulations, water industry legislation, and guidelines. £31,500 Entry Criteria:
Degree in ICE-accredited Civil Engineering (e.g., BEng, MEng). BEng graduates encouraged to register for IEng with further learning for CEng registration; MEng graduates do not require additional learning. Driving Requirements:
