About

NLA is seeking an exceptional Sales Account Executive to join our team as we celebrate 20 successful years and start our new 5-year growth plan.
This is an opportunity to be part of a newly formed ‘new business’ team with a focus on building on NLA’s market position, in designated parts of the wider built environment industry. Initially focusing on the UK but with international aspirations.
This role comes with an opportunity to shape and influence our growth as we build a scalable GTM engine.
About NLA NLA is the independent member‑led network for everyone with an interest in London’s built environment. With a thriving community of 30,000+ professionals and industry‑leading research, events, and content, NLA connects innovators and decision‑makers shaping the city’s future.
Guided by the New London Agenda, our work has global relevance, and we collaborate with cities worldwide.
The Opportunity NLA is searching for a driven, organised Sales Account Executive to join our growing commercial team. The role requires end‑to‑end deal management for both mid‑market and enterprise clients (though we are focused predominantly on membership in the new business team so average deal value in first instance is sub £10K, high volume and more akin to a small and medium‑sized business sales motion). NLA’s unique content library and powerful network to grow revenue and deepen partnerships.
The London Real Estate forum, one of our flagship events, will give you insight into our positioning and individually branded portfolio LREF.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate and manage a robust new business pipeline with a focus on mid‑market and enterprise accounts
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, demos, negotiation, and closing
Maintain and qualify CRM data in HubSpot, ensuring pipeline accuracy and timely reporting
Build and nurture relationships through networking, leveraging NLA’s profile and events (face‑to‑face and digital)
Understand customer needs and align NLA’s portfolio—research, events, sponsorship, and bespoke experiences—to deliver value
Collaborate across marketing, content, and delivery teams to develop tailored outreach strategies and proposals
Keep abreast of industry trends and competitors, positioning NLA’s strengths and shaping client conversations
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
About You We are looking for a proactive self‑starter with a strategic mindset, a can‑do attitude and hands‑on sales experience.
Essential
Results‑driven, with a demonstrable track record in B2B sales (built environment or membership sector a bonus)
Experience of tailoring propositions, differentiating offers and building customer‑specific value propositions
Exceptionally organised—skilled in pipeline management, forecasting, and using a CRM
Natural networker—comfortable engaging senior decision‑makers in‑person and virtually
Able to communicate value and tailor solutions to clients ranging from mid‑market firms to major enterprises
Self‑sufficient, collaborative, and highly motivated to contribute to a positive, energetic team environment
Desirable
Experience in the built environment/property/membership/investment sectors
Experience of HubSpot
This opportunity could also align with experience gained in an events/membership or property technology company.
Why NLA?
Access to a unique, sector‑leading network of 30,000+ built environment professionals
Outward‑facing, varied role with plenty of face‑to‑face interactions and event hosting
The chance to shape the commercial offer at the heart of London’s urban future
