The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for unloading materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and preparing items for internal distribution or storage. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and item details against purchase orders and other shipping documents.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag or label received items as required.
- Route incoming materials to appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with vendors and internal departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to assist with unloading and moving goods.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE throughout the receiving process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and wearing required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles is a plus.
