Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is vital for managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for accurately handling all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the dock area is organized and safe. Your role is integral to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups and deliveries.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Assist with Loading and unloading trucks, involving regular Lifting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Must be able to operate material handling equipment. Physical requirements include frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Safety and understand the importance of PPE. This role offers a great opportunity within the logistics field.
