We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and managing stock rotation. This position is crucial for optimizing our Logistics operations, ensuring that we have precise stock levels to meet demand and minimize waste. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS). A commitment to workplace Safety is paramount, and you will be required to wear appropriate PPE at all times. While not a primary function, some tasks may involve moderate Lifting and the operation of warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cycle counts and investigate any discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock levels.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, identify root causes of errors, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage stock rotation to ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles are followed.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory data and warehouse locations.
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory movements and status.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure all inventory storage areas are organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse functions as needed, which may include tasks involving Lifting .
