Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our San Antonio, Texas warehouse. This critical role involves managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and implementing effective inventory control procedures to support our extensive logistics network. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and experience with inventory management systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Oversee all inventory-related activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, and returns.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices for material handling, including the appropriate use of PPE .
  • Coordinate with procurement, operations, and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports for management.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to maximize space utilization and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, inventory management, or a similar role within a warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
