Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Verify shipping information and ensure accuracy of orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and ensure proper receiving procedures are followed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety regulations.
- Ensure proper use of PPE when handling shipments.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general computer applications.
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Capacity for some physical work, including occasional Lifting.
